The railway has canceled 72 trains due to safety concerns, rerouted 68 trains, canceled 6 trains midway, and restarted 6 trains from intermediate stations. The farmers are still occupying the track near Shambu station on the Ambala-Ludhiana railway line, forcing the railway to cancel daily trains. These trains were used by commuters for daily travel to cities like Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Bathinda, and Saharanpur. While long-distance mail and express trains are being operated on alternative routes, commuters are demanding the resumption of some daily trains on alternative routes to ease their daily travel.

Ab ye trains band kar di gayi hai, lekin lambi duri ki mail aur express trains ka route badal ke chalai ja rahi hai. Daily travellers ki demand hai ki kuchh daily trains ko bhi badle hue route se chalaya jaaye, taki unko rahat mil sake.
