**************** NO CONVENTIONAL & GTO TECHNOLOGY BASED LOCOS BY CLW AFTER SEPTEMBER 2015 *********
It's Official Now : "CLW will permanently STOP the Production of Conventional Locos as well as GTO Technology based 3-Phase Locos after September 2015"

is the Proof in support of my Claim.
A PART OF THE MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER'S DESK IS SHARED HERE:(Published in Sixty Fifth Bi-Monthly Communication News Letter of CLW)
------------------------------------------
It is heartening to note that so far in this Financial Year we have been able to roll out LOCOS as per the Target Fixed and we need to strictly adhere to the PLAN to meet the Production Target at the End of the Year. As per the Future Course of Action we are going to STOP the production of CONVENTIONAL as well as GTO TECHNOLOGY BASED LOCOS after September,2015. From October Onwards all Locos that we are going to Roll Out, will be 3 Phase Locos(IGBT Technology Based) as it is the NEED OF THE HOUR. So we need to finish all pending jobs related to OLD TECHNOLOGY BASED LOCO Production within September 2015. Hope You all will take NOTE of this Future Plan and act accordingly. This change in Production Pattern is for the betterment of our production Unit. But while implementing this Plan we have to be cautious about Safety Aspects of our Staff as well as Quantity and Quality of Production. I remind you to remember taking all possible measures in Order to Pre-empt any untoward Incident in the Real Time Situation. Such incidents NOT ONLY Dampen our Spirits BUT ALSO hamper Production. Such occurrences need to be totally avoided. ----------------------------- C.P TAYAL(General Manager of CLW)

It looks like WAP5s are climbing gradients with 23-24 coach SF trains of late :D /blog/post/1587320
The Thull Ghat limit starts from Kasara. This video was shot between Kalyan & Kasara (before Kasara), which is full of gradients. Even Punjab Mail also got GZB WAP5 once or twice (not sure though!) after ACfication.
Similarly, SR can arrange a makeshift 24 coach train, attach a WAP5 loco & test it on MAS-SBC sector (which is full of gradients), exactly what CR did at the time of ACfication. Let's see how they perform over

there.
IR might have carried out some changes on these locos (not sure).

Here's an interesting coverage of WAP5 loco in Gurpa Gujhandi ghat section with 12260 NDLS SDAH Duronto. The rails are also somewhat damp due to rains. Here, the ruling gradient is 1:80 (which means for every 80 metres you cover, you go 1 metre up from the mean sea level, MSL), which is quite steep. Video date : 24/09/2011.
As you can see, the loco is absolutely stable. Similarly, it climbed with HWH Rajdhani & SDAH Rajdhani too.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
