ट्रेन ब्लॉग<--- ब्लॉग बड़ा करो --->Why cant the Husain Sagar be halted at Lingampalli, when you have halts at less important spots like Tandur, etc, atleast for 2 min, because, lot of people like me get down at Lingampalli & it is very inconvenient to get down at Begampet & then return, especially, when the train reaches Bgmpt around 12.00 pm & the nxt MMTS is at 12:40 pm. Thanks. @first blogger: since there are verf few trains on Wadi HYB section in the morning this train is provided halts at Chittapur, Mailkad road , sedam and tandur. As far as Lingampalli is concerned you can easily go back to lingampalli by MMTS local soon after alighting at Begampet. @Surya: Jan 12 2010 (12:35PM) But think the other way. It is very convinient to get down at lingampalli and catch a mmts towards begampet. It saves a lot time. travelled once in this train from pune to hyd. and realised its far better to take the bus. saves a lot of time. and on top of that pay superfast charges. train is also very dirty, stops at a lot of places and daily passengers get in the next morning till hyd @first blogger: Pl. maintain the train. Thank you, SSV Narasimham. @first blogger: A new Pune-Hyderabad Summer Special Shatabdi has been announced by Cengtral Railways. It will leave Pune at 6 am and reach Hyderabad at 2:30 pm. It would be much better and comfortable than buses and faster than any other train in this section. pls i want to know why does this train slows down between begampeth and nampally @first blogger: Just at the fag end of Begumpet station there is a speed restriction of 15kms/hr on both routes, one that goes towards Secunderabad and the other towards Nampally. There is a steep curve between Begumpet and Necklace road stations hence the speed reduction furthermore just as the train leaves Lakdi-ka-Pul station there is another speed restriction of 15 kms/hr due to a scissors crossing just outside Nampally station. @first blogger: Many trains have slack times to make up for the time lost if delayed. 2701 is not the only case. You have numerous examples of trains in IR having slack times. Note the schedule of 6318 in and around New Delhi and then Howrah - trichi express near Trichi. Wat about 1019 between BMT - SC JN. You have numerous examples in IR I am shocked to see that though it travels the least in karnataka...it has the most no of stopages there...even more than that in maharastra @first blogger: There are about 7 halts in Karnataka for this train . The reason why it stops at many stations on this route is to facilitate the MST holders who don't have any other train around 8am-9 am to travel between Gulbarga and Sedam. In any case This train halts for 5 mins precisely at 10:20 pm just outside Thane station waiting for signal clearance because 8029 LTT-Shalimar express halts twice at the station easily taking up about 5-10 mins. This is a daily phenomenon. So if all a change is needed the departure times of either HS or Shalimar should be changed to avoid this problem in Hussain Sagar Express pl. check the charging points given in the sleeper coaches are not working only two or three charging points working in the train pl. check it and rectify the problem as it is causing lot of inconvenience to the onboard mobile user for charging their batteries. pl. do the needful. Hussain Merchant From one of the passengers in the first run of 2101 Minar express says that the train started at 21:55 arriving SC by 11:15 is it true? Since 11:30 is the arrival time for 2701 at Begampet , by reducing the buffer time the train can be made to arrive at Begampet say by 11:00 Hours I Understand that there is bufer time for the train but it should have been at the end stations for the whole run . THe running time between tandur and wadi is about 40 min this i feel can be reduced to say 1o min and there is a lot of buffer time between begampet and hyd deccan which can be kept unchanged . This will facilitate ontime arrival into hyderabad and also bring down the running time. Any idea when the Gulbarga Pune section will be doubled? This doubling will help in furture speeding up of trains since the time wasted now for facilitating crossings from opposite direction will then be eliminated @anon: Dec 02 06:34PM Minar's arrival time was 12 :20 pm in the afternoon. The doubling of tracks is going on for the last 60 years now RVNL,the nodal agency in charge of doubling the tracks between Daund-Gulbarga still shows this as an "unsanctioned" project on it's website The railway board in principle has agreed to doubling and electrification of Mumbai Chennai route long back. Till date still 250 kms is on single track between Bhigwan and Pakni sections and Hotgi and Gulbarga on the other section. Another bottleneck is the absence of a loop line along every staiion on the MMTS route from Lingampalli upto Hyderabad This makes the express train crawl behind MMTS locals delaying them even further @anon: Dec 02 06:34PM and I wonder still few people accuse ECoR of malpractice and inefficiency @anon: Dec 02 06:34PM Correct. Minar used to reach SC by 11.15 am. It was the only train not to have crossing-only halts in the entire Daund-SC section (as cofirmed from the CR Working TT). Hence, it could maintain terrific runs, for example, 3 hrs. 35 mts. from PUNE to SUR. When I traveled on it in 1981, it had the following commercial halts - Begumpet, Wadi, Gulbarga, Solapur, Pune, Dadar. @anon: Dec 03 08:51PM The new train 2749/2750 between VSKP and LTT will have the following halts between LTT and SC :Pune, Solapur, Wadi, Vikarabad, Secunderabad similar to Minar express but time taken will be the same ie. 14 hours @Misenkiser*: Dec 03 09:42PM 2750 will have a running time of 13 hrs. 35 mts. from LTT to SC, as per the online TAAG. Very close to the original Minar times. @first blogger: I have discussed 3 & 4 lines between lingampally and Begampet in IRFCA forum and have got a suggestion which i post as under: The average sppeed of doubling in this section has been below 15 km per year. Daund-Bhigwan has been doubled, so is Pakni and Solapur, and the other sections as you said. About the 3rd and 4th track, I have another idea that will help. Have overtaking zones with 3rd track, this will cost less than 4 line section, but work better than 3 line, as the fast mooving exp train will not need to negotiate loops. As I don not know section around Hyderabad, I can make suggestions for LNL Pune and Pune daund that I know well. In LNL Pune section. Pune to Shivajinagar can be made 4 lines, then connect the UP loop between Shivajinagar and Khadki. Then make Dapodi station from two platforms on mainline itself into two Island platforms, then connect proposed Dapodi down loop to Khadki Down loop. Same case with Kasarwadi, but here Dapodi UP loop can connect to Kasarwadi UP loop and onwards upto LNL. If this is done. The fast train will remain on main line without negotiating point. The slow train/EMU will negotiate only olternate points, and get overtaken by fast train without having to stop. A Imaginary scene Deccan Exp Departs Pune on additional Up line, The Pune INDB which is before deccan exp is now rescheduled to start after deccan exp, and departs 5 min later on UP line, Deccan Exp halts and departs from Shivajinagar almost parallel to Pune INDB, and Pune INDB picks up a lead as it can mantain MPS, when Deccan Exp halts and restarts from Khadki, Pune INDB is already having a 4-5 km lead. In similar way another (imaginary) Exp towards LNL(ahead to Gujrat) overtakes a EMU which has departs after Pune INDB, and trails the Deccan Exp by 3 block sections. When deccan Exp clears the FM of the UP loop at Talegaon, this train speeds up to max permitted mps, and covers these 3 sections at avg speed of 90kph, and overtakes Deccan Exp at talegaon. Deccan exp departs talegaon in additional UP line with this train just ahead of it in UP line, slows slightly at vadgaon to negotiate the loop and get onto UP line, and again speeds up after it is fully on main line, 3 block sections behind this train. This kind of arrangement will give almost 4 line like clearance with only 3 lines. @anon: Dec 03 08:51PM sir can i get a scan of that few pages of CR TT showing the timings of TTof minar . I travelled a lot by Minar and i still remember that when it would accelerate out of BBVT it was provided a all green and then deacclerate only at Kalyan. @anon: Dec 02 06:52PM Even I have travelled a lot by both the trains. even though Hussainsagar has more halts now The time taken is almost the same as Minar Earlier Minar used to Depart at 9:55 pm in the night and reach at 12:20 pm next day at Secunderabad and the return journey(rakes shared by konark) used to dep at 3:45 pm and reach dadar in the morning at 5:52 am the next day So even the earlier train was taking a little more than 14 hours to cover a distance of 790 kms is it not possible to run a DMU service between Gulbarga and Sedam and thus eliminate the stoppages at Shahbad,chittapur and sedam for HUssainsagar express. My Experience on this train is that it looses a lot of time in deccelerating and reaccelerating at these stations. Secondly I think the main reason for these stoppages is to facilitate the MST holders /daily passengers to travel to their work place at these places. Usually for how many minutes or hours Hussain Sagar Exp runs late on an average day. The train reaches dadar mostly by 4:50 am if not by 4:33 am. This train is not over 30 mins late at CST. You are asking the status of Uttaranchal express under Hussainsagar Express. You have not specified the details like which class, from where to where. Anyhow, since you have RAC, you can travel in the train by confirmed seat. this train is always late by 10-15 minutes while reaching hyderabad and took40 minutesfrom begumpetto hyderabd. whereas in up direction same train took only 10 minutes. this force passengers to get down at begumpet to avoid delay. railway should not charged superfast charges from passengers who get down at hyderabad since this superfas train always delayed at hyd. Why always delay when train is superfast. GM SC Railway should lookintothis otherwise BJP will march to rail nilayhamforjustice. absolutely right The 40 minutes you are talking about is the cushion (Adjustment) timing of the train for the whole journey. If you notice, even between Shahabad and Wadi it takes 40 minutes for a distance of 10 kms. This is done by the railways for all trains to adjust late running of trains in between. Whereas the actual time taken to cover the distance will be less, they are given extra time to adjust for delays in stations before. You should be happy the train reaches at the right time, and so is held up at begumpet for its normal schedule. If this cusion timing is not given and if it is late, then also everybody will say that it is always coming late. so no end to this. There is no need of bjp to march for justice. even in bjp time this rule was not changed. no matter whoever comes, this cushion time concept will not change - these are for technical reasons - not political reasons. try to understand. The trian frequently runs slow on the return journey from Mumbai to Hyderabad.but it's the best train between hyderabad and mumbai sometimes, reliability is more important than speed. i agree this train is an old dependable train. For booking train tickets, you have to open www.irctc.co.in (official website for rly reservations thru internet) and register your name and password and start booking train tickets. For payments, one should have a valid Credit Card - VISA, MASTERCARD or AMEX (Visa and Master issued by any bank) or Indian Internet Banking password for debiting the amount in your account. The procedure is very simple and a normal computer knowledgable person can very easily book a ticket. You can take a print out of the ticket on plain paper by choosing the option 'E-ticket' (Electronic Ticket) and travel with the ticket. Important point is, while travelling in train, you should have a valid Identification document like Passport/Voter ICard/Driving Licence etc. If you do not have id proof while travelling, you are liable for paying fine.
