The new aluminum third rail line, similar to those used in cities like Singapore, London, Berlin, and Moscow, will be implemented across all new metro lines, including the East-West and Joka-Dharmatala lines. The upgrade will take two years to complete, with most work occurring overnight to minimize disruption. The new line will facilitate a higher frequency of trains, potentially reducing the current 5-minute interval to half, improving passenger convenience. However, the third rail line upgrade will not be immediate on the newly opened lines between Noapara-Dakshineswar and Uttarkumar-Kabi Subhash due to their newer infrastructure.

Is upgrade mein do saal lag jayenge, aur zyadatar kaam raat mein hoga, taaki disruption kam se kam ho. Naya line trains ki frequency badhayega, aur shayad current 5-minute interval ko aadh tak kam karega, jo passenger ke liye suvidhajanak hoga. Lekin, Noapara-Dakshineswar aur Uttarkumar-Kabi Subhash ke beech ke naye khule lines mein third rail line upgrade turant nahin hoga, kyunki unka infrastructure naya hai.
