During the inspection, he reviewed the progress of the Khurda Road-Bolangir project and stressed the importance of completing construction within the targeted timeframe. He mentioned that the Railway Ministry is closely monitoring this public-centric project, which spans remote areas. The railway is constructing the line from both ends, Khurda Road and Bolangir, to expedite project completion. As of now, 105.8 km from Khurda Road to Daspalla and 47 km from Bolangir to Sonpur have been completed. The Sonpur to Purunakatak section, spanning approximately 73 km, is expected to be completed in the next few months. Fukanwal also inspected the Sambalpur-Jarapada railway section, focusing on infrastructure and development works as well as passenger amenities. He advised officials to take necessary steps to expedite these projects. Additionally, Fukanwal inspected the Khyonjhar-Nayagarh section of the Jhakhapur-Jaroli railway line, focusing on passenger facilities and transportation amenities in the Khyonjhar area.
