India is a socialist country not a capitalist country, privatization koi magic trick nahi hai ki aa gya aur sab kuch badhiya ho jayega uske bhi challenges hote hai aur itne overpopulated country ko serve nahi kar payega, government ke failure ko private ka chola na pehnao, to run the railway properly one needs man power, IR mai man power ki Kami hai, ek officer, employees se 4 logon ka kaam kraya ja rha hai to mistakes hongi hi. Failure government ki hai ki na woh employment de rha hai na population control par dhyan de rha hai aur na hi production and improvement of coaches par. Ab bas hope karo ki next term mai government ne jitna cleanliness par improve Kiya hai IR ko utna management mai bhi kare.

Again Privatization ek utopia nahi hai, aur aesa kabhi nahi hua hai ki private company mai kissi ne galti nahi ki ho ya woh log bilkul career ke tension mai apna 100 percent field mai dete ho. Private field mai aur bhi jyada corruption hota hai plus seniors apne juniors ke upar hi workload daal kar baithe rehte hai, I have worked in UK Railways aur privatization ke babe and boon ka mujhe first hand experience hai.

Also I read about the Udi more station incident, and based on The TOI wha par sirf two employees duty par the, jisme pointsman track inspection ke liye gya tha aur bas SM akela duty par tha, do you really think ki sirf ek staff se station control hone wala hai, what if that SM had an heart attack, usko to koi poochne wala bhi nahi hai udhr.
So this incident actually shows the failure of Government to hire staffs to run IR effectively.

See maybe you are not aware of the fact that we are not Communistic Socialist but Democratic Socialist, i.e. we believe in mixed economy, the goods of both world. So example of US vs USSR is bogus here and US is never a good example for us, we associate more with European countries than with US. US has absolutely pathetic public transport system though and they shouldn't even be in conversation of public transportation topic.

Okay, I'm just gonna point there is big difference between democratic socialism and communist socialism, it's not an extreme form of either side which we and many European countries do follow, only difference is there one can question their leaders freely and here we can't.

Haha.. I got your point, you want efficiency and resolution and I want this too but my point is privatization is not the way, my way of working is that I'm providing you with enough resources, man, money and tech all kind of resources now you can't be a slouch, if you are then you're jobless now.

And running a metro and full fledged passenger and freight railway is different ball game, if you want to learn more about it you can watch few videos on UK Railways also RM transit channel explains the different of public mode of transportations ans their working in simple language, give it a watch you will enjoy it. (Yeh koi taunt ya sarcasm mai nahi bola hu, dekhna sahi se explain karta hai)

You're so wrong about everything, see the condition of Indian aviation, it's fully private yet so inefficient, Vistara pilots refused to fly because they didn't receive their salaries, and so did Kingfisher's, Jet Airways', Spicejet and Sahara as well. Air India has stated you can't take a cabin baggage of more than 1.5 kgs, that's absurd and even you have to agree with this. Indigo the most successful Indian aviation company has shut down many routes completely without proper reasons and there are many more examples of why privatization is not the answer in public sphere of India, especially which is the nerves of India which is railways.

Officially or unofficially waise bhi trains halt leti thi PRYJ mai, nahi to platform skip ke chakkar Mai outer mai hi khadi rehti thi, ab agar 2 min official halt se kya hi chla jayega waise bhi bhot si in trains ka actual SF run issi division aur zone mai hota hai.
