Any train doesn't get filled by source itself. Like NJP vb has a major chunk of passengers from KIR similar if any VB starts from KIR for kolkata it will definitely serve Malda equivalently but saying if VB starts for sdah will partially suceed due to malda is something I felt wrong, quite possible I thought more aggressively.
