Help Required!!
How do i reach Dhanushkodi from Rameshwaram? I have been told to share an auto between RMM and mookundaraya chattiram and further another shared mini truck/auto to the Land's end at Rama sethu.I have a few questions though

Is it possible for me to walk from mookundaraya chattiram to Dhanushkodi town/rama sethu point at arichulmunai or would it be too marshy and impossible to walk? I dont mind as long as the distance is less than 10 km to walk.

2. Whats the time taken by TNSTC buses between RMM and MDU, i need to return to HSRA by Tuticorin-MYS exp boarding at MDU.
.
3. What would be the ideal fare to be paid to the share auto's between RMM-mookundaraya chattiram and further to Dhanushkodi, so that i have an idea and dont fall into the trap of exaggerated prices for tourists, if any.

"From Rameshwaram, you can ride/drive upto 20 Kms towards Dhanushkodi, the last 5 Kms strecth has be seen either by foot, with a good 4X4 car.. Since we didn't have a car we decided to utilize the Bus Service facility on the Beach (charging Rs 100/ per head) which will cover last 5 kms from Dhanush Kodi Beach to the Extreme Corner of the Indian Territory.. Bus facility takes us for a tour around Old Dhanushkodi town and the so called Last Point of Indian territory.. It was about 6:45 pm when we reached this last point.. Hope this helps. Looks quiet swampy. I was there in 2009 and it was really hell to walk and top of it smelt very bad of dried fish. Very nauseating.
