BANGALORE-BIDAR TRAIN CONNECTIVITY
The MG Track between SBC-GTL was convered to BG in 1983 which opened the gateway for connecting blore with noth karnataka districts.A day time passenger with train no.91/92 was introduced between SBC-GTL after gauge conversion which was later extended to HOSPET converting the same as overnight train to blore from hospet and bellary.After a persistent demand the train was extended to UBL.During Sri Jaffer Sheriff period as RM a link express was introduced to BIDAR with 91/92 Hampi exp with 8 coaches to be detatched at GTL to run as 91/A/92A hampi link between gtl-bidr,whcih incidentally became 16593/94. more... demand to bifuracate this train and run as independent train, the train was an seperate train in july 2010 by giving 16593/94 as number. The train became a slow train and it took 18 hours to reach bidar and back.There was demand to make this train an overnight train to bidar since 3 years by increasing speed. However this failed due to operational problems. Now Sri Kharge as RM a new overnight train terminating at BIDAR IS BEING RUN FROM 1ST SEPT 2013.It is a great day for HK region people.At the earliest this train should be made daily and after construction of GULBARGA-BIDAR NEW line this train 16571/72 could be run via gulbarga and humnabad to serve more area in karnataka
