Next we boarded SBC-MAS express as it came first which was hauled by LGD WAP 4 with road no 22213. We boarded that train as it will be less crowded compared to CBE intercity. The train departed at 11:55 bang on time and its first stop was mukundarayapuram where 2 got a seat out of 8 members in our gang then it halted at walajah road for 15 mins where a whirlwind struck it was none other than the train i decided to skip the CBE-MAS INTERCITY EXPRESS led by RPM WAP 7 cruisuing more than 100 kmph and it overtook our train like a storm and whizzed past us. I could nt take a video coz i never expected...
more... an overtake. Then our LGD WAP 4 showed its class and it accelerated very quickly and was halted at Sholingur for 2 mins then at Arakkonam for 5 mins. To be frank SBC-MAS train has numerous halts but thing to be noted was a huge crowd got off in the above mentioned stations. At AJJ we were comfortably seated. Next we entered into last one hour journey. The fourth line between AJJ-TO was open and trains started to ply on the fourth line too but from TO -TRL the construction is going on snail's pace as i could nt spot any one working and no lorries,JCB's were there. Then a 1 min halt at TRL at 14.00 . After leaving TRL, Sanghamitra express came with a milky white RPM WAP 7 in the lead. Then we skipped all the major suburbs in Chennai like Avadi, Ambattur and Villivakkam eventually followed by a 2 min halt at PER and we started to crawl till BBQ. As i expected we were halted at BBQ outer at 14.40 and the MAS-CBE intercity crossed us with RPM WAP 4 in lead , infact it left MAS by the time we were about to reach. Then the train started to move and finally we reached MAS at 14.48 to be accurate.
