more... the Karnataka government has tasked the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) with land acquisition, no land has been handed over despite 888 acres being requested. The Minister also mentioned that a final local survey has been sanctioned for the construction of a new 158 km line between Talaguppa, Sirsi, and Hubbali, via Tadas, with the aim of preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR). This new line was approved in 2019 and is expected to cost Rs 927 crore, with a requirement of 600 acres in Belagavi and 230 acres in Dharwad districts.
