The old line from Chandrapura to Jamuniatand will be doubled, and the new line will be connected to Jamuniatand. This project will also benefit the transportation of coal by freight trains. The existing DC line will remain operational until the completion of the new line, but stations like Kusunda, Baseria, Bansjora, Sijua, Katrasgarh, and Sonardih will be closed. Passengers from stations like Bhuli, Tetulmari, Nichitpur, Matari, and Telo will have more train options available.
