Why trains bound to SRC from Kharagpur are getting inordinate delay, Running time now becomes varying from more than 2 hrs to 3 hrd. Specially in afternoon.

The section from Bagnan to Andul is super congested. The section from Dasnagar to Howrah is congested. Freight trains have increased more than 100 times in last 2 years. Almost 98% trains in SER in KGP-HWH Section is running late everyday. Even trains reaching Kharagpur with 5 mins delay is ending up reaching Santragachi with 1 hr delay and Howrah with 1hr 30 mins delay.
The route from Howrah to Barddhaman has almost 4(chord line, 4th line part completed)+3(main line)=7 lines. Whereas the route from Howrah to Kharagpur still has only 3 lines with huge Freight traffic. The survey for Santragachi -Kharagpur 4th line is going on for last almost 4 to 5 years now still project not started. Total

ignorance by RB towards SER.
The section from KGP-SRC now needs 5th line based on traffic, but due to ignorance by RB, only 3 lines till date, resulting in huge delays of all passenger carrying trains just to give 1st priority to freight trains.
SER is an ignored zone by RB in passenger section, although it is one of the profit making zone of IR.

There are heavy traffic and Local trains , freight runs ahead of Superfast/Express in morning and evening, night and These 3 line's couldn't handle many trains , freight and local . in this route only get priority RNC VB , PURI VB , BBS JS and PURI SHAT. 2 lines extra should be made for handle traffic.

Section control me gadhe baithe hai... this is the bitter truth

KGP-HWH is Automatic section, hence increased sectional capacity present. Post covid, atleast 10-15 EMU trains, few express trains are permanently withdrawn from service, terminal of several trains shifted to SRC/SHM, several trains bypassing Howrah, speed increased to 130kmph, new 4th line constructed b/w HWH-TPKR... hence enough path is created.

of the ADL-MCA/KGP-ADL goods traffic are through traffic passing via-ADL-BWN-ADL or ADL-DDJ-ADL. If increase in goods traffic is an issue in KGP div, the same goods congestion issue would have been reflected in ADL-DKAE-BWN & ADL-DDJ sections too, but here in ER, no such goods congestion is observed.

10 years back, there used to be lot more EMUs, absolute block in certain sections, but punctuality was more or less proper.
