I think notification of VB extension to CDG was real, i saw one Junior minister tweeting from his official handle too claiming extension of 4 VBs in which one was passing thru his constituency.

RB definitely approved extension, the other 3 haven't been extended either despite official notification.

theory is, possibly they are unable to meet 75 VBs target, so instead of extension they might introduce a new number/VB altogether on extended route to increase the count on paper. So a new VB cannot be completely ruled out via ROK-Jind-KKDE.

I was counting the unserved routes ... They are way more than what we think . IR can easily fulfill the target we are nearing 50 VBs now .. rest 25 routes can anticipated easily say for example

Then as soon as tracks get capable of 160 on Delhi Mumbai and Delhi howarah route ..
cities like BRC Udaipur Indb PNBE Gaya GKP Satna cnb etc will come in the 8 hour range of Delhi Mumbai and Howrah .

Apart from this there will be genuine demand for reverse and multiple VB on the same route .. hence they can extend many of them
