the Delhi-Howrah rail route, passes through 7 districts in Uttar Pradesh and includes 12 stations: New DDU Junction, New Aheraura Road Junction, New Dagmagpur, New Mirzapur, New Unchadih, New Karachna Junction, New Manauri, New Sujatpur, New Rasulabad, New Malwan, New Kanpur Junction, and New Bhimsen Junction. The EDFC is designed to improve freight transport, allowing for passenger train frequency increases on the main line.
