Railway officials said that there was a clear clarification on the South Coast railway zone announced by Vijayawada, Guntakal and Guntur divisions by the Visakhapatnam center. In the past, it was announced that Vijayawada, a part of the Walther division, would add a bit more to the newly formed Rayagada division. Now it is informed that the Railways has taken a decision on the issue. The Vijayawada division included the Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts. Earlier, the Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts would be included in the Rayagada division. The Visakhapatnam Railway zone extends slightly to Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, including AP.
