Are you sure? This looks like normal OHE panto. Highrise panto's are longer and have the 'HR' indicated on the panto itself.
Was there any marking on the loco indicating that it's for highrise OHE?

Sir, are high rise pantographs fit for 130/160 kmph operations ? I believe that due to longer length and different physique of the arm, the panto oscillations will increase drastically, hence restricting high speed operations.
Although this panto doesn't look like the regular stock pantograph fitted on WAP-5 locos.

1 compliments
Thanks a lot sir
The highrise pantos being developed are based on the WBL85 air-operated pantograph. The WBL85 is a air-operated panto, suitable for high speed operations as it is pneumatically operated and can maintain better control compared to the traditional spring operated pantos like AM12 or AM92 that are seen on most locos in IR.
The additional height does make it more susceptible to oscillations and adverse weather, but I believe, the panto itself will be able to sustain 130kmph (and probably 160kmph too, but that would need some confirmation) with no issues.

It looks like the shed temporarily used an older panto (or just an unpainted AM92 standard panto) during the loco's regular maintenance. Most of the bunch that run with BPL Shatabdi tend to have WBL85 highspeed pantos.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
