AN INSIGHT INTO THE EMD CLASS OF LOCOMOTIVES :
Loco : TKD WDP 4B 40072 (Long Hood Forward Mode [Single Cab]). Suhaildev SF arrived on PF2 @ SLN. I had to run v. Fast as I was not standing at the end of PF. Both LP as well as ALP were co-operative. Uncle welcomed me into the loco to show the controls. When I entered, I saw LP was not there. ALP told me that he went to pee ЁЯШВ. By the time, uncle told me about many major controls including reverser, throttle (main accelarator), locomotive brake, train brake etc. I tried clicking pic from inside but in hurry, the pic got too much blurred. Then LP uncle came. A very soft...

He also suggested that UPTU don't have very good (and few in number) govt. colleges. At last, signal went green, we greeted each other. ALP asked me when I was going back and also told me that he will give a full loco ride next time I come back to SLN.
I also observed that there only two small fans for cooling inside the cab & the cab in itself was very sound proof. Loco sound was audible but not very much. Finally I went down to see the departing Suhaildev Superfast. All in all, a nice insight [non technical preview based] experience. A pic of the loco from outside has been attached.
Both the LP & ALP were complaining to IR for not completely abolishing 4B-Single Cab EMDs especially in LHF mode as the front end shape restricts them from seeing the signal and they have to look out from windows sometimes to see the signals.
***I remember one important thing also. A Caution order for pakhrauli - Bhadaiyan - lambhua section was issued by SM & duly signed by ALP.
