~ As per OP, we can't consolidate 2 or more stations within a town/city limit into a single entity( for footfalls and Revenue). So, consolidating MDP with JSME is out of scope.

~ Again, DGHR is a different station altogether. The Original Post is regarding Stations's Footfall & Generated Revenue and not City/town-wise.

~ The patronage from JSME isn't only dependant on the pilgrims but, nearby districts as well. Even ASN has many passengers from nearby areas as well. And, who is judging the potential of Asansol? At least, I am not one of them. You seem to be one of them, though.

~ Again, unrelated to the discussion. Who is daydreaming that JSME is better than X,Y, Z? I am still yet to find any such person here on IRI( but, I did find you). AFAIK, all the folks here on IRI from this area complained about the problems faced by the passengers who used to suffer due to insufficient trains in this section. Who will ask for trains citing the reason that their place is better than other stations?

~ You don't need to teach me regarding patronage from/to JSME in 12305/06. It won't take any penny at all, go through my trip reports regarding trips onboard 12305/06.
As for Barddhaman goes, it does also cater to a sizeable area and gives good patronage to all existing trains. I didn't compare it with JSME. You are comparing them.
