I too had similar story from one group about the Sayajinagari exp Bhuj BDTS ...
While I was at station to book tickets, one member told why you book ticket from AJE to ADI ... Go to General compartments and have nice sleep.
Now every one needs Reserved tkts and GL are just open for any one...

If IR takes out 'Utilisation' data of each train and each coach, the hidden truth will surprise even IR themselves ...
How much Diesel can be saved if empty coaches are 'disconnected' ... depending upon use. But this will be again a 'policy' problem...
22 coaches means no reduction, else the 'agitation, will start.

Providing halt at either Valsad or Vapi will definately do wonder..At least mumbai Bound passenger from Valsad/Vapi may fill the general coaches..
Bcoz weekly trains don't have daily commuters....Let it be any stn
But it can be alternative, if some one missed Bhavnagar -BDTS SF that day...& I observed any train going towards Mumbai mostly not going empty from Valsad/Vapi/Dahanu/Boiser/Palghar.
The train is only Useful for all these stations if All trains of that group are having halt.
Best Example in that group is Hapa Tirunelveli Express only.
Being Biweekly also, No Daily Passengers opt for it.
Rather Kutch Express is the Most Prefered trn.

many keralites residing at vapi, valsad,silvassa and daman, those use vapi/valsad to go native place .even if a stop provided there it would really attract moore patronage
