This train runs combined with 15603 Guwahati-Ledo Intercity express upto Furkating Jn. with the train being attached behind Ledo Intercity. At furkating the train is detached and ledo intercity starts ahead with the same loco. A different loco powers the Dibrugarh Intercity and it then departs from Furkating. The train is generally clean and well maintained, but the coaches are quite old. The run from Furkating to Mariani on the branch line is quite slow and general public often gets inside the train without any worries, many of them consider this train as an unreserved one.

The train is being shunted to the adjacent platform so that it gets attached to the ledo intercity. Then the train commences its journey normally as a combined train towards guwahati.
There is no pantry car and generally it is not easy to find food at any of the stations. In return journey also the time train reaches Furkating when going towards guwahati, only snack are available. The restaurant at furkating does not remain open and serve at that time hence carry your own food otherwise you can have problems in filling your stomach.
EDIT - DURING MY MOST RECENT JOURNEY ON THIS TRAIN, THE BEDDING PROVIDED TO ME IN AC 3 TIER WAS ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC, SPECIALLY THE PILLOW. THE ATTENDANT CHANGED THE PILLOW TO A LESS PATHETIC ONE AFTER I FORCED HIM TO CHANGED IT, ALBEIT IT WAS ALSO PATHETIC. HE CITED THE REASON OF NOT HAVING ENOUGH PILLOWS FOR THE SAME.
