The BG conversion on this stretch forms part of the gauge conversion of 149-km Tiruvarur–Karaikudi section. Consequent to the closure of the MG track, the Railways has regulated the operation of trains on the Tiruvarur–Karaikudi section from March 15.; The Railways has partially cancelled Tiruvarur-Karaikudi passenger (56893/56894) between Pattukkottai and Karaikudi.; The partially cancelled trains will run between Tiruvarur and Pattukottai.
