Southern Railway has announced special train services to manage the expected surge in passenger travel during Onam, Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festivals. The Hubballi-Kochuveli Express (07333/07334) will run on September 13th and 14th, with stoppages at Salem, Erode, and Coimbatore. The Kacheguda-Kollam festival special (07044/07045) will run on September 14th and 16th, with the same stoppages as the Secunderabad-Kollam train. Additionally, the Kochuveli-Nizamuddin festival special (06071/06072) will operate every Friday from September 20th to November 29th and every Monday from September 23rd to December 2nd, stopping at Erode, Jolarpettai, and Katpadi. Finally, the Dr. MGR Chennai Central-Santragachi festival special (06077/06078) will operate every Saturday from September 21st to November 30th and every Sunday from September 23rd to December 2nd, stopping at Erode, Jolarpettai, and Katpadi. All the special trains have advance reservation options available.

No. 06073 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Bhubaneswar Festival Weekly Special (Monday, 06.05.2024 to 03.06.2024, 5 trips), Train No. 06074 Bhubaneswar – Dr MGR Chennai Central Festival Weekly Special (Tuesday, 07.05.2024 to 04.06.2024, 5 trips), Train No. 06181 Coimbatore – Bhagat Ki Kothi Weekly Special (Thursday, 11.04.2024 to 23.05.2024, 7 trips), and Train No. 06182 Bhagat Ki Kothi – Coimbatore Weekly Special (Sunday, 14.04.2024 to 26.05.2024, 7 trips). The timings and composition of these trains remain unchanged. The return journey, Santragachi to Chennai Egmore (06078), will depart Santragachi at 10 AM on March 25th, April 1st, and April 8th (Mondays). The train will arrive at Vizianagaram the next day at 12:20 AM and Duvvada at 1:48 AM. It will reach Chennai Egmore at 3:30 PM on the third day. The train will have stops at Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Rajamahendravaram, Samalkot, Duvvada, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Kharagpur between Chennai Egmore and Santragachi.
