🔹 Train no. 12082/Thiruvananthapuram Central - Kannur Jan Shatabdi Express JCO 21/05/2023 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha skipping stoppage at Chengannur, Tiruvalla and Kottayam. Additional stoppages will be provided at Alappuzha and Ernakulam for the convenience of passengers.

This train could be extended to Kannur with existing timings in the existing CLT - TVC - CLT route. This can be made possible with a rake sharing arrangement similar to the one of 16305/16308/16306/16307 done at Kannur. (12076 arrives CAN afternoon - returns as 12081 next day morning. 12082 arrives CAN midnight - returns as 12075 next day noon). Maintenance can still be done at TVC itslef. If this arrangement is made, 12081/82 can be made daily thereby connecting north Kerala better to state capital.
