To facilitate the project, the Umaria station will undergo yard remodeling, affecting train operations from August 24th to September 5th. Similarly, the Damoh station will be connected by a third line between August 26th and September 9th. The affected trains include Rani Kamalapati (Habibganj)-Santragachi Express, Chirmiri-Chandia Road Passenger, Katni-Chirmiri MEMU Special, and many more. Eight trains will be rerouted during this period, including the Durg-Nizamuddin Sampark Kranti Express, Nizamuddin-Durg Sampark Kranti Express, Ambikapur-Nizamuddin Express, Amristar-Visakhapatnam Express, Bhuj-Shalimar Express, Gondia-Barauni Express, and Barauni-Gondia Express.
