The Mithila Express, traveling from Howrah to Raxual, was operated under control, arriving at Bapudham Motihari station at 9 am, three hours behind schedule.

On Thursday, the Railway Police apprehended two smugglers with 6 kilograms and 110 grams of charas at Sugauli railway station platform 1. The recovered charas is estimated to be worth around 6 crore rupees in the international market. The three smugglers, all residents of Belhari village in the Ramgarhwa police station area, have been identified as Aslam Alam, Mumtaz Ansari, and Naimullah Ansari. The police investigation revealed that Naimullah received the charas from Afzal Ansari in Nepal and was tasked with delivering it to a woman known as 'Buaji' in Delhi. From Delhi, the charas was to be further distributed to places like Haryana. All three suspects have been remanded to judicial custody.
