It's a 14.03 km section called Belvandi-Visapur and it's been opened for traffic. The Commissioner Railway Safety (CRS) dude named Shri. Manoj Arora gave it the safe certification after inspecting it. Another guy named Shri. Vivek Kumar Gupta and DRM/Solapur, Shri. Neeraj Kumar Dohare, were also there during the inspection. They even did a successful speed trial at 123 kmph in the Belvandi-Visapur section.
Now, get this - CR has been killing it this year. They completed 161.80 km of new lines, doubling, 3rd and 4th lines in 5 divisions from April '23 till now. They planned a total of 3890 Crs for this year for all this work, and they've already spent 2990 Crs.
Let's get into the details of the Daund-Manmad Doubling. It's a long-ass 236.61 km section, and they've already doubled 134.31 km of it, which is around 56.76%. The cost for this project is 2081.27 Crs, and they've spent 1572.28 Crs till date. Overall, they've made 67% progress.
Now, here's what's been completed - they doubled the following sections: Kashti-Visapur, Sarola-Akolner, Padhegaon-Puntamba, and Kanhegaon-Manmad. There's one section called Nimblak-Padhegaon that's nearly done, around 48.26 km, and is likely to be commissioned this year. And then we got the sections that are still in progress - Daund-Kashti, Visapur-Sarola, Akolner-Nimblak, and Puntamba-Kanhegaon.
Oh, and they finished with the land acquisition, man! They got 13.14 out of 68.16 hectares for this.
Now, let's see what's been completed in terms of works - they did 72% of the earthwork, 62% of the blanketing, 39% of the major bridges, 86% of the minor bridges and road under bridges, 52% of the new station buildings, 53% of the track linking, 40% of the OHE (Overhead equipment) foundations, 42% of the OHE mast erection, 52% of the OHE wiring, 27% of the new electronic interlocking for signaling, and 44% of the indoor and outdoor works for signaling.
