He also requested the establishment of a level crossing near Longpotia Goan in the Charaideo District. Earlier this month, the Assam Rail Passengers’ Association (ARPA) met with Gogoi to advocate for increased local passenger trains, citing concerns over recent decisions by the Rail Ministry, including train cancellations, reduced sleeper coaches, withdrawal of concessions, and curtailed train routes.
