East Coast Railways to equip 7.7k buildings, infrastructure with solar power

The East Coast Railway (ECoR) plans to install solar panels at stations, service buildings, residential buildings, and level crossing gates across its jurisdiction. Tenders have been floated for Rs 83.79 crore to construct solar plants at various locations, including Bhubaneswar headquarters, Berhampur-Palasa section, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack-Paradip-Bhadrak section, Angul section, Khurda Road-Puri section, Paradip-Keonjhar section, Visakhapatnam station and electric loco shed, Duvvada-Palasa main line, Naupada-Gunupur, Vizianagaram-Rayagada, and Kottavalasa-Kirandul section. The ECoR has already installed rooftop solar power plants at various locations, including the headquarters building and Rail Sadan, and plans to further maximize the use of solar energy to meet energy requirements and save on costs.

ja sakte hain. 83.79 crore rupaiye ke solar plant ke liye tender nikale gaye hain, jisme Bhubaneswar headquarters, Berhampur-Palasa section, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack-Paradip-Bhadrak section, Angul section, Khurda Road-Puri section, Paradip-Keonjhar section, Visakhapatnam station aur electric loco shed, Duvvada-Palasa main line, Naupada-Gunupur, Vizianagaram-Rayagada aur Kottavalasa-Kirandul section jaise kai jagah pe solar plant banaya jaayega. ECoR pehle se hi headquarters building aur Rail Sadan jaise kai jagah pe rooftop solar power plant laga chuka hai, aur woh solar energy ka use aur zyada badhaane ki plan bana rahe hain taaki energy ki jarurat puri ho aur kharche bhi bachaye ja sake.
