with contributions from the Haryana government, the Centre, and the Delhi Metro. The line features nine elevated stations located on either side of the Delhi-Mathura Road. The Haryana government stated that the line, built with 95% indigenous materials, offers a safe, affordable, and sustainable transport option. Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar expressed gratitude for the new metro service, highlighting its positive impact on Faridabad's progress and connectivity. He also announced that the Prime Minister would approve the extension of the Metro to Gurgaon.Separately, the Surat Metro project achieved a significant milestone with the breakthrough of TBM Tapi at the Central Warehouse Station on Line 1. This line connects Sarthana and Dream City. TBM Tapi completed its second assignment, building a 3.46 km tunnel from Kapodra to Surat Railway Station, after a 5.5-month journey from Labheshwar Chowk Station. The first section of Phase 1 is expected to open in August 2024, with the entire Phase 1 operational by 2027.
