Just look at dep from SSPN it has been over 2 hours delay for whole of Jan and Feb .So might be all he wanted to say was about this delay which I am sure would have reflected on the SBC dep as well.
So he was talking abt actual dep while we are all taking abt scheduled dep.

This train leaving SSPM at 7:00Pm has to encounter 2786, 2627 and 6530 expresses on the single line section before reaching Bypanahalli. The other trains being more prestigious and long distance-this one being a weekly it gets delayed before reaching Bangalore City. anyway a weekly to SSPM wont suffice-railways can actually cut it down to Bangalore city and introduce another train to SSPM via Cuddapah or Krishnarajapuram

I am sure the bus guys from Kerala who charge 1000Rs for a Volvo ride will get bust.I heard they got bust on the TVC MAS and ERS MAS section because of the fact that there are 3 pairs of convenient trains excluding the Guruvayoor express.

Yes 6315/16 slot is better than the existing slot fo this train. But one advantage of present slot is passengers check their 6526 tickt and if that is not confirmed immediately go to current reservation and book a ticket in this which goes faster than 6526

Good suggestion. There is one more weekly train 6321/6322 which starts from TVC to SBC (Via Alleppey). This can be clubbed to the timings of 6315/6316. With this, on 4 days, we can a faster train from Kerala to Bangalore via Alapuzha and 3 days via Kottayam (ie., Garib Rath). Departure Timings can be like this: TVC/ KCVL 1630;QLN 1730; KTM/ ALP: 1900;ERS/ ERN 2030; TCR 2145;PLKD 2300;CBE 0010; ED 0145;SA 0245; DPJ 0400;HSR 0530; SBC 0645.
On the return direction, the timings can be like this: SBC 1815; HSR 1930; DPJ 2045;SA 2215; ED 2315; CBE 0045; PLKD 0200; TCR 0315;ERS/ ERN 0430;KTM/ ALP 0540;QLN 0700;TVC/ KCVL 0800.
It will be a boon if my dream comes true.

The timing that you suggested would not work because of some path sharing issues.
Himasagar and gurudev is sharing 4.30 departure with 6322 from trivandrum and in return direction 4.30 Am is the path o jayanthi janatha from ERN to TVC

To my knowledge the PQWL move have only a small number of berths allotted in a train.Say a coach or so in sleeper class for this train. So how do you expect these berths to get confirmed so easily.

they charge for 300kgs for a bike irrespective of the make of bike + surcharge on the value of the bike which you have to declare. if you declare u r bike value as 10000/- no surcharge is added. one more thing just clarify with the railway staff whether to book as laguage or parcel as normal laguage is charged 1.5 times were as parcel are not.

i dont know why people are saying such figures. i once took my bike from pune to howrah...2000 kms... charged me around rs 600 and i paid another 150 to the staff there, so that they wrap it with straw and bags...that was in 2006 though...but it cant be so high now

it totally depends that in peak season you are able to book the ticket or not through irctc(most of the people get negative results) due to heavy load on server,
so if you are sure that you can book the go ahead other wise you can book through auth agents( the list of some agents given on the blog page)

The 3AC fares are same for Passenger and Express services, So generally 3AC is not added to passengers. SL and FC have a separate fare structure for Passenger and express services. These are much cheaper.

It is a good thought but it is only for a 3 or 4 month summer period after which nobody will want to pay the high fare(express 3AC) as it will at least be 3 or 4 times sleeper fare, It will be higher than the passenger FC fare even.

There are passenger trains with 3A coaches in SCR, I am not sure about any other place.

Chances of RAC getting confirmed is dependent on last minute cancellation and number of un-used specific quota seats.
However you can definitely travel in sleeper coach and for that you are already entitled to a seat accomodation - side lower berth which you will have to share with the co-passenger, if your ticket remains at RAC status only. Depending upon on the spot availability of berths, the TTE may allot you any berth when you are actually on board the train. Nothing to worry at all.

Since you have a RAC ticket you are already eligible to board a sleeper coach. As a passenger on the RAC list you are provided with one half of a side lower berth,ie you along with another RAC holder share a side lower berth.But there is a good probability that you will get confirmed by charting.
