Symbolic to the city of Mumbai, the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus(CST), India
CST was formerly known as Victoria Terminus (VT) turns 125 years old.
Possibly the most populous UNESCO World Heritage structure, it is a part of daily life for millions of commuters. If you want to know what a “block of people” means, try entering the station at 9 AM on a weekday, when people are rushing to their offices. A great place to observe people of all kinds, seeing the sea of mankind emerge out of the station at rush hours is

SHINDAVANE
The ghats of Shindavane are know for the barren and lofty cut deep through the mountains and passes through loose rocks on all sides. This lies in the Pune-Satara section of the Central Railway.

Sometimes around 1972, for conversion from meter gauge railway line to broad gauge, authorities had to make a longer circuitous line at Daundaj. The original meter gauge line was almost straight. This is believed to be the second sharpest broad gauge curve on Indian Railway network. In this photo, Sampark Kranti express passing through the charming countryside at Daundaj.
