Finally coming July, the commissioning of MRTS PHASE 2A (VELACHERRY - ST. THOMAS MOUNT {VLCY-STM}) will be commissioned by July. The delay happened due to a fall of a major pillar on the road or else by now it would have been commissioned and the trains would have operated once Chennai Metro completes their works by the year end.

Finally Jolarpettai Junction - Krishnagiri - Hosur Railway line is to be construed by Southern Railway Zone. By the way Morappur - Dharmapuri Railway line will also comes under Southern Railway Jurisdiction.

The electrification works were going on in these railway lines (except Tiruvarur - Karaikkudi Railway line). Admin please update the Walaja Road Junction - Ranipet Railway line as under Electrification and mark the station as Siding Station to Industries.
