Only thing left is to speed up this train. Can easily reach around 4.30 am at DDN. Currently 8 hours is the running time between MB & DDN which is too much!!

YNRK has already got Doon express which actually gets filled from HW. As of now only one train from Kolkata to Dehradun is there and it should remain as it is.
100% agreed. Infact post COVID resumption ER should have upgraded Upasana / Kumbh rakes to LHB.

Slightly faster version of Shatabdi. One of the slowest VB with halts every 50 km. Don't think it will have much patronage from DDN or HW once the DDN expressway is opened.
Agree now on popular (read political) demand they should halt it at Deoband, Modi nagar etc. etc. Rather they could have run a normal superfast train. This will be slowest VB & don't think will encourage much patronage. NR is quite poor in speeding up the TT for premium trains. Just see DDN Shatabdi taking 6 hr 10 mins while you can cover by road currently in around 5 hours & once new expressway is there Shatabdi would be avoided by most people travelling between DDN to Delhi.

Rather than replacing JS or Shatabdi it would be better if a fast option between Doon and Lucknow and between Doon and Mumbai is introduced. Both Shatabdi and Janshatabdi are very popular trains between the two important stations.

Bhibhor Rungta 23 blog postsTrain cancelled from 8th to 12th April. Any update on the reason behind these cancellations..?? My tickets were booked for the 10th of April. I'm stuck now.
The last 3 trips of 12369/70 & 12327/12328 were nearly 16-20 hours delayed. Seems IR has cancelled each rake to bring it on time. Definitely a big trouble for all passengers & shows how punctuality is not a serious parameter these days for IR.
