If the coaches of the train had been LHB coaches, would it have minimized the casualty? If use of LHB coaches can help avoid casualty, introducing LHB coaches in all the trains should become the govt's top priority.

I have some confusion about Rajdhani tickets. I've heard Rajdhani tickets can be booked as paperless ticket. Can I book PRS tickets also for Rajdhani or only paperless ticket is allowed for this category of train?
According to a commercial circular (file attached) dated 17.12.2015 of IR, full names of passengers will have to be typed by booking clerks at PRS counters subject to a maximum number of characters and no abbreviation will be allowed. As far as I know up to sixteen characters can be typed by the booking clerks and if they mention the full name, the surname can remain incompletely typed if the surname is long. Now the point is if this will lead to any confusion during the journey when the TTE checks the name and tallies it with the name on the document serving as the ID proof. I think IR should increase the number of characters that can be typed to accommodate the full names of passengers whose surnames are long, or should figure out ways ensuring that no confusion occurs as a result of typing the full names subject to...

The point is the TTE will tally the name on the reservation chart with the name on the ID card, will count up to sixteen characters and then will automatically understand that the remaining characters of the surname haven't got any place in the reservation chart as the maximum number of characters allowed by IR is sixteen. I think if the TTE judges the matter this way, there won't be any problem.
Yes, this kind of step is needed to stop the misuse of tickets. I am fully in support of it. The only thing I want they ensure is that there should not be any confusion.
