So what ? Do this folk think that creating a new zone based in RNC would mean that the railway infrastructure will come under their control now ?
Final approval has to still come from the Railway Board.
And if they were competent enough they should have been able to give the required trains in their constituency anyways, without the need of an additional zone.
Just...
more... look at what Nishikant Dubey did !
No offence to ER, it is the mother of most zones and a most passenger friendly zone as such, but look at the development that ER did before Nishikant Dubey and to some extent Mamata Banerjee did!
15-20 years back most of the development in ER was strictly focused and limited to the HWH-ASN quadruple section and in some extension, the ASN-DHN section. Rest everything else was under-developed.
Most of the lines in the Santhal Pargana were non existent. JSME was a okayish station, not the heavyweight that it has turned out to be now. MDP was more used as a satellite station for Giridih and nothing else.
Moreover the branch lines in ER had very less traffic too, namely the UDL-SNT branch line. Hell 20 years back their was very less traffic on the Sahibganj loop and Howrah-New Jalpaiguri section. The mainline was mostly filled up with crawlers and almost all good superfast ran especially ran via the GRand Chord.
All of this has happened in the last 20-25 years or so. Stations like JSME/GODA/DUMK/MDP all have dedicated trains now.
Now has the grand chord gone under the radar because of this? Absolutely yes, moreover the existing trains in the Grand Chord have more or less become victims of shameless politicking !
Now this may sound as sour grapes, particularly to the RFs pertaining from Dhanbad constituency , because a lot of the current developments in the Deoghar constituency were originally intended for Dhanbad. But that is not the fault of the people of the Santhal Pargana that they elect far better representatives than us. There is a saying , "Garib ki lugai sab ki bojhai!"
