I don't think there is a need to use bypass for trains halting at Itarsi, they are anyhow going to have a halt so why to make them use bypass, if you are saying that this will reduce congestion at Itarsi, well yes it will but then WCR has to develop Powarkheda, which is not happening in coming future. But even if IR bypasses only freights and non halting trains then also congestion will get reduced.

Can't Powarkheda be used as Katni Murwara to reduce congestion? i'm sure trains going from Bhopal to Nagpur if will bypass Itarsi will save time on waiting on outer and other routes will also help to improve punctuality
