Recently, in fact on 29-12-2016 SCR has inaugurated a New Weekly Express Train form Tirupati --Vasco-Da-Gama – Tirupati (17419/17420) Actually this train was earlier running as Daily Express train by name Vijaya Nagar Express on Meter Gauge track between Tirupati-Vasco-Da-Gama via Guntakal- Dharamavaram –Pakala-Tirupati before conversion in to Broad Gauge. This can be checked from the Indian Railway Archives. Now to the gross surprise to the people of the region, The Railway Board and SCR have changed the route via Renigunta-Kadapa-Gooty-Guntakal instead of Pakala-Dharmavaram –Guntakal.
This is injustice to the people of this region.
I...
more... wonder who advises SC Railways on these matters to recommend Railway Board to just keep in mind only one route to connect to Tirupati from Guntakal i.e via Gooty-Kadapa-Renigunta?
I request Railway Board/SC Railway to reroute this train via Pakala-Dharmavaram-Guntakal to re introduce the Vijaya Nagar Express on Broad Gauge. If this is difficult, least consider introducing this train for another 3 days in a week in this route. You can consider extending up to Chennai also instead of Originating/Terminating at Tirupati.
There are many trains running via busy Renigunta-Kadapa-Gooty for various destinations.
Consider the trains introduced by SCR from/to Kachiguda –Mangalore -Kachiguda (17606/17605) and Tirupati- Sai Nagar Shirdi-Tirupati (17417/17418) also runs via that so called SCR favorite route only. Why not these trains be run on Tirupati-Pakala-Dharmavaram-Guntakal route?
Infact the Kachiguda-Manglore –Kachiguda (17606/17605) and Kachiguda – Madurai –Kachiguda (17615/17616) can be made to run with Time Table sharing from KCG-Dhone-Gooty-Dharmavaram-Pakala and up to Erode Jn in Southern Railway.
