Dear friend, I'm afraid there are many not so favourable observations on the proposed train.
(1) IGP-BSL 308km in 3:05 hrs @ 100kmph is too aggressive No train does it in less than 3:30min!! In-spite of too aggressive timing, the proposed train takes much longer (2 hrs) than the existing Duronto via NGP.
(2) The route is whopping 225 km longer than the existing Duronto via NGP-BSP, the shortest. The higher fare shall make this train undesirable.
(3)...
more... The route of the proposed train is notorious for the punctuality issues esp. the ALD-MGS section. Time this train shall practically take for the run shall be much higher than the time tabled one. As against the existing Duronto (via NGP-BSP) which has a very good punctuality record, this train shall not farewell.
(4) Duronto is meant for fastest connection between the 2 pair of cities and choosing a signifcantly longer route for this train is not at all desirable.
(5) The same Duronto if diverted to PNBE or GHY shall be a much better option. But in that case, provision of SL class accommodation (about 10 coaches), is desirable to ensure respectable passenger response for the full length (22LHB coach) train.
